What if I change my mind, can I opt out of the LGPS?
08:50, 30 Nov 2007If you decide the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is not for you, you’re free to opt out from your next available pay period. You, are, however, urged to take independent financial advice before doing so.
If you opt out of the LGPS you will have the same options as anyone else leaving before their retirement date.
