This section gives you information about survivor's benefits and includes answers to some of the questions you may have, such as, is my pension increased every year, and when will my pension be paid.

What is a survivors's pension?

A survivor's pension benefit consists of an annual pension and in addition a death grant may be payable in certain circumstances.

Is my survivor's pension increased every year?

From April 2011, the value your pension will be increased in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) , previous to this your pension was increased in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI)  These pension increases are not limited to a maximum percentage per annum as in many other occupational pension schemes.
