New research project with technology company Faculty
Published: Friday, June 16, 2023

Adoption East Midlands are excited to announce a new project that aims to identify characteristics of people who adopt children who wait the longest to be adopted. To accomplish this, we will be working with Faculty, a technology company, to use their expertise in artificial intelligence to review records of successful adoptions to build a picture that we hope will help identify potential placements for children both in Nottinghamshire and beyond.
This project is due to start on 20 June 2023. It will require AEM to share personal data with Faculty. AEM and Faculty have worked closely with Nottinghamshire County Council’s Information Governance Team to ensure that your data is safe and only processed in-line with this objective, and there will be no impact on you. You can see how we process and share data by reading our Privacy Notice.
Should the project be successful then Coram-i, will look at how this learning can be applied nationally for the recruitment of adopters.
